A study by Duke University, which was published in the Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health Part A, provides evidence that Splenda destroys 50% of your healthy bacteria and contributes to increases in body weight.
Researchers from Columbia University and the University of Miami found that a single diet soda (Aspartame) daily over a period of 10 years increased the risk of heart attack and stroke by 43 percent.
A study conducted at the University of Minnesota found that a single diet soda daily raised the risk of metabolic syndrome and diabetes by 36 percent.
Choose healthier alternatives such as water, sparkling water, and green tea.  Add lemon, cucumber or lime to your water or sparkling water.
